Smart Scale

Smart Scale is a project that brought together several areas, first there was an electronic side with the creation of the scale with its components. Then we had the AI, which allowed the recognition of food. Then, after the processing of the food, the application displays the results with the possibility for the user to change the names of the identified foods in order to allow our AI to learn from the mistakes made and to enlarge our dataset.

During this project we used several technologies, for the construction of our scale the components provided by the school and the realization of the code under Arduino. For the AI we worked with Python and the notebook Jupyter. Then for the mobile application we used React Native with different libraries including Johnny-Five which allowed us to communicate between the scale and the mobile application.
